Foot Elevation:
• Provides relief from edema or swelling in feet
Exercise Technique:
1. You will need a non-slip mat and a pillow
2. Lie down on the mat, with your head on the pillow and your buttocks touching a wall
3. Slowly, walk your feet up the wall until your legs are stretched to the maximum
4. Try to hold this position for 10 to 15 minutes
5. Return back to the starting position slowly
Warning signs:
• Pain in the pelvis, vagina or groin area
• Abdominal discomfort
• Shortness of breath
• Leakage or bleeding from the vagina
• Exceptional fetal activity
Tips:
• Take frequent breaks from work
• Avoid sitting or standing in one posture for too long
• Avoid exercising on an empty stomach
